In Remembrance of my Ancestor’s
I am the embodiment of my ancestor’s homeland because there spirit lives through me
I am the voice of all humanity who’s heart, mind and soul have been chained to the shackles of slavery by the hands of those who chose to keep my soul in bondage
For centuries my ancestor’s blood have cried out from the earth to challenge my resolve an as I lament within my heart I as the question when shall I break these chains that has shackled my struggle to theirs
With my head bowed to the earth my prayer is knowing that my struggle will never end until my ancestor’s blood is able to rest in peace©
