The Mule
Have you become like the mule that plows the field so that the owner can reap from the harvest and rejoice At the marketplace with much laughter in his heart
How many rows have you plowed in your lifetime? How much straw have you eaten? How many sleepless nights have you endured before awakening to the taskmaster’s whip? How much love has he shown you by way of a reward?
He has begun to look at you and treat you just like the mule The pen that he has built has the appearance of our fellow slaves of times long ago
Does the earth have to shake beneath your feet before you pull off the blinders that will cause you to see your hard word
The time has come humanity to educate the minds and hearts of those we call our children So that they can reap from there own harvest and rejoice at the marketplace with much laugher in there hearts And look at the mule as a reminder of the struggles of our fellow slaves of times long ago©
